SHAHSONS INDEPENDENT CHUCKS Shahsons is a well-established Indian brand (under the company name Shahsons Udyog or Unnat Shahsons Chucks India) known for manufacturing a wide range of lathe chucks and workholding devices, including high-quality independent chucks. They are among the largest and oldest manufacturers in India, operating since 1959. 
Independent Jaws: Each of the four jaws can be adjusted individually using a separate operating screw (dog chuck screw). This allows for precise clamping and centering of diverse workpieces, including those that are round, square, or irregularly shaped, and even for turning eccentric components.
Robust Construction: The chuck body is typically made of high-strength graded cast iron (e.g., Grade 20 CI, SG Iron) for maximum rigidity and durability.
Hardened Components: The jaws, pinions, and locks are made from special tested alloy steel and are case hardened and ground where required to resist wear and ensure a long life.
Precision and Repeatability: The precision-cut square threads on the pinions ensure smooth movement and minimal pitch error, contributing to high accuracy in machining.
Versatility: They are suitable for heavy-duty industrial applications, general engineering (shafts, gears), and toolroom use.
